DWL-122 dongle loses connection on Win98SE laptop

Can't figure out why. I turned off power shutdowns as it is usually
plugged in. Also configured the device to not allow it to be shut down
if idle to save power.

Several times a day it seems I have to do a reset on my BEFW11s4 ver 1,
Then it reconnects.

I am using a tin cantenna around the dongle so I know I am getting a
pretty strong signal.

Suggestions?

When did you last update the firmaware on the router?

Good idea. I have version 1 and I have the latest firmware.
