Newbie to wireless question.........
I've a simple peer to peer network here with two win98 computers just sharing files etc. Can I simply replace the netcards with wireless cards, or is more hardware required? cheers. Rick. Rick Maninov |

Yes, you can. Then, you'd set up an "Ad-hoc" (computer-to-computer) wireless network. An alternative, especially if you have a broadband Internet connection, is to get a wireless router, connect the Internet to it, and share the connection between the computers. In that case, you'd set up an "Infrastructure" wireless network. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
