Default Share printer

Other computer can see this computer's shared drive but
this machine can't see the other computer's shared drive
or shared printer. In fact this computer shows
the "searching flashlight" forever when I click on Network
Neighborhood. I'm connected through a Linksys router and
use cable modem which works fine for the internet
connection. What am I doing wrong.
