My Windows 98 can network to my WinXP Prof. and see the
shared drives on the WinXP...and...was able to see the shared printer from WinXP. 4 weeks ago my Win98 can no longer see the shared printer hanging off he WinXP PC. But, it can still see the WinXP shared drives. Can anybody help me resolve this problem. Yesterday I started a third PC running Windows 2000 and it can see the WinXP shared printer (and drives as well). So, I know, it has to be a Win98 problem. Johnny Todd |

Make sure that the printer's share name isn't longer than 12 characters and that it contains only letters and numbers -- no special characters or spaces. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
