keep getting this message on startup (Windows 98 SE): "The
following error occured while loading protocol number 1. Error 59: A network error has occurred." Then it opens in safe mode and operates very slowly. Help. Thanks, Ron ron |

This error message usually means that the network is improperly configured
(looking for DNS or a domain controller that is not present, or trying to log onto a network that is not present) or that there is a problem with the network connection (bad card, cable, switch, etc). -- Richard G.
