Hi there,
If this has been address a million times, I appologize. I have a strange thing happening with Outlook Express 6 on a Win98SE machine. Here's what's happening: I have one WinXP machine connected via Ethernet to a LinkSys Wireless-G Broadband router which in turn is connected to a Westell DSL modem (Bellsouth). I have a Win98SE machine with a LinkSys wireless network card. Both machines are running Internet Explorer 6.0 and Outlook Express 6.0. Both machines connected to the internet perfectly (both browsing with IE and sending/receiving mail with Outlook Express) until I tried to set up a network between the two computers. Once I set up a network, the Win98 machine would no longer allow me to send or receive email with Outlook Express. I can browse the net with IE and the XP machine works fine. Both computers find each other and I can share files, print, etc. I just can't do email. I get a "host not found" error. If I then remove the network from the Win98 machine, everything works great... I just don't have the network. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance, ....Scotty (E-Mail Removed) |
