Adding an XP computer to a Windows 98 Network

When I added an XP Home addition, to an existing Windows
98 LAN (no internet connection) I had to run Netsetup on
all the other computers (about 25, all running 98) Now
when I do a network connection, the connection goes to
sleep with about 15 min of inactivity. You must go to "My
Computer and double click the red X over the connection
icon to restore the connection.

How do I inhibit the connection from dropping off line?
