win98 clients getting locked out of domain

We have a couple remaining PCs running win95/98 and they are having
some problems.. We have the strict password options enabled on the
domain so it'll lock an account after several attempts. We have a
couple users that get locked out maybe 3-5 times a week and they have
to wait until account becomes unlocked. Things to note:

1) have older novell 32 bit client installed
2) they aren't entering in their passwords multiple times.. at any
given time after they are already logged in they get locked out (have
to reboot and wait)
3) I believe at one time they might have had DSClient installed but I
removed it using add/remove programs
4) removed any weird printers

I know this is a tough one but we are in process of migrating to XP,
just need this as a hold over..
