network logon

hello-
whenever I restart my logon changes from network to windows. I need network
logon each time to use the network. I have not found any answers in KB.
someone please point me to the info i need.(win98se)
Home network is XP sharing -1 ME box and a 98se box-
ME logs everytime to network but if I restart 98, windows comes up then I
restart-network comes up
