The users in our group who are using Windows 98 cannot
map to our share drive. Rather than prompting them for the domain id and password, it simply tells them access is denied when they attept to click on the drive - and yes, we have checked that they are added to the share group. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Maria |

Have you checked the networking protocols for your network
card and make sure you have netbuei install as well as TCPIP. >-----Original Message----- >The users in our group who are using Windows 98 cannot >map to our share drive. have you created a user account on your server using the win98 login name
and password ? win98 cannot join a domain , having it's password verified by your server at logon will allow access to shared resources on the server. hope that helps <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:162c001c41bf1$ee9336b0$(E-Mail Removed)... > Indeed we have - all checks fine. . .? > >-----Original Message----- > >Have you checked the networking protocols for your > network > >card and make sure you have netbuei install as well as > >TCPIP. > >>-----Original Message----- > >>The users in our group who are using Windows 98 cannot > >>map to our share drive.
