Hi hope someone out there can help m
I currently have 2 machines 1 running win 98se and 1 running xp hom The machine runing 98 contains data files that need to be accessed over the phone line by my xp home machin I have set up the win98 machine as a dial up server and it sits there happily monitoring for call I have set up the xp home machine to dial out to another compute When i dial the computer they appear to connect and i am asked for a user name and passwor No matter what i type in i get the prompt asking me to enter user name and password agai I can't find anything on win98 to show or specify who the users should be I hope i am missing something very obvious Thanks in advance for any help give Steve. =?Utf-8?B?U3RldmUgU21pdGg=?= |

Is the 98 box a member of a domain? If so, your login will be
domain/username and password.
