Anyone get file sharing to work with Trillian?
* Trillian - I've changed the preferences for all clients (AIM, ICQ, MSN, etc.) to use port 5190. * Router - Setup Static IP for my computer under DHCP * Router - Virtual Server - input internal IP address for computer with Trillian to use ports 5190 (both protocols) Doesn't seem to be working...any ideas? Any success stories? Trillian 2.0 Pro D-Link DI-624 Win XP Pro TIA UCSDBum |

I read something about AoHell blocking trillian users.
This might shed some light on part of the problem. http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/20...0218010316.htm "UCSDBum" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:(E-Mail Removed)... > Anyone get file sharing to work with Trillian? > > * Trillian - I've changed the preferences for all clients (AIM, ICQ, MSN, > etc.) to use port 5190. > * Router - Setup Static IP for my computer under DHCP > * Router - Virtual Server - input internal IP address for computer with > Trillian to use ports 5190 (both protocols) > > Doesn't seem to be working...any ideas? Trillian has been constantly creating patches to work with AIM connection
issues. Why can't they just all get along?!? My problems come from trying to set up my router to allow file transfers. I think I usnderstand what needs to be done, from generic responses but am wondering if anyone specifically has Trillian file sharing working with a D-Link router and would be able to tell me specifics on their settings.
