Hello,
I am looking for a wireless print server with at least 2 parallel ports that can be accessed via a wireless port of a router, not directly from the wireless card on a PC. My home network is not completely wireless, and I do not want to use wireless cards on all PCs on the network. What I would like is a print server that can be accessed via my wired/wireless router/switch. All of the PCs on the network are hard-wired to the router/switch. The print servers that do seem to do this only have one parallel port (Linksys WPS11, which was a piece of crap any way), and the the ones that have multiple parallel ports indicate that the PC must have a wireless card. Any input on a unit that does what I am looking for (reliably)? Thanks! Tony |

I do not believe that the PC must have a wireless card if the server is another device on a wired/wireless network through a typical wireless router with internal switch. If the PC and server are the only wireless devices, this would be true, but not if there is a wired/wireless router in the mix. Q |
