Default Keep Losing Connection

Hello,

We have a Linxys Router down stairs, a Dlink card on my laptop, and a
Netgear USB adapter on my desktop. Everything seems to work smoothly except
that the wireless PC's lose the internet connection every few minutes, but
then it is back momentarily. I will see my MSN Instant Messanger sign off
and any downloads I have will freeze. I can immediatly sign back in without
rebooting or anything else.

I have tried numerous things such as changing the power setting and plugging
in a dummy IP address (couldn't even get a connection doing that)

I called Netgear, they had me download the latest firmware, no help.

Please please, does anyone have any ideas???????????

Unless you are using WPA encryption, make sure that 'IEEE 802.1x
authentication' in not checked in the propereties of the connection.
That may be enough to stabalize the connection.

If not,

If your OS is XP, try starting the 'Wireless Zero Configuration' service
and in the Wireless Networks configuration check the 'Use Windows to
configure my wireless network settings'.
