If I buy a laptop loaded with Windows, is the seller obligated to provide me
with a copy of Windows on disc? I live in Ontario, so if you know a law specific to my area, that'd be most helpful. /sorry for being off-topic, figured I'd post in this ng as people seem to actually reply here. Tweek |

What the seller is obligated to provide you depends on their contact with
Microsoft. The OEM must provide some manner of restoring the OS, but the manner is not specified by any law of any municipality or country. -- Richard G.
