Default mapping network drive

Having a slight problem this morning. Windows98 can see
computers in network neighborhood, but when we attempt to
map network drive to the server, it asks us for a
password. We've tried everything we know, including the
server password, but nothing seems to work. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: mapping network drive

What kind of network server are you using? Is there a firewall?

Are there computers visible in network neighborhood that are not part of
your own home or business network? Among the computers that it can 'see'; is
the machine you wish to access there?
