Default Setup of Orinoco P.C. Card

One of the options on the setup is Select Type of Network, and it gives you
the option of peer to peer or base station.
I take it that peer to peer is as it sounds meaning to another laptop and
base station means connecting to the network.
Is this correct?
The setup booklet gives no explanation.
TIA

Default Re: Setup of Orinoco P.C. Card

Peer to peer means directly to another computer. Also called ad-hoc
connection.
Base station means connecting to AP / router / network, also called
'infrastucture'.

Martin
