Default Windows 98 on a DHCP network

I have a windows 98 Machine that is on a DHCP network. It
will not renew its IP address upon a shut down though. I
currently have it setup to release IP on shoutdown in the
registry trying to get this to work. I have also tried
replacing the DHCP files incase they were corrupted, and
removed and reinstalled TCP/IP and a full removal of the
network card and reinstall both from an original windows 98
CD. If you could get back to me on this that would be great.

I am using a windows 2000 server DHCP server. Also other
windows 98 get their DHCP information fine. if i do a
release and renew this box gets the information fine. It is
just when the PC is turned on does it not get the IP
information.
