at boot choose the onscreen option to enter CMOS setup, and look thru the choices to verify that LPT port is set active. -dj "Adam" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:316801c33fe4$64df3930$(E-Mail Removed)... > I recently had a virus on my computer, and after > installing anti-virue software, I am finally getting the > computer back to normal. > > However, I have lost my DSL connection and my printers as > well. > > For the DSL problem, we had to remove the TCP/IP and then > add them again. Thank you for helping me, however, I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean, while the computer is booting up, before Windows starts, I should press the delete key to get into the setup? I did that, but I could not find the LPT port anywhere. Any further assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! yes in that setup .... ok it was just a thought to look in there, typically there is something there to enable/disable com ports and printer ports, but not all machines are same. -dj "Adam" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:0c3701c34047$02c7a580$(E-Mail Removed)... > Thank you for helping me, however, I am not sure what you > mean. > > Do you mean, while the computer is booting up, before > Windows starts, I should press the delete key to get into > the setup? > > I did that, but I could not find the LPT port anywhere. > > Any further assistance you can give would be greatly > appreciated. > > Thanks! > > Adam > > > >-----Original Message----- > >at boot choose the onscreen option to enter CMOS setup, > and look thru the > >choices to verify that LPT port is set active. > > > >-dj > > > > > >"Adam" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message > >news:316801c33fe4$64df3930$(E-Mail Removed)... > >> I recently had a virus on my computer, and after > >> installing anti-virue software, I am finally getting the > >> computer back to normal. > >> > >> However, I have lost my DSL connection and my printers > as > >> well. > >> > >> For the DSL problem, we had to remove the TCP/IP and > then > >> add them again.
