Default Wireless network drops internet connection

Hi.
I just installed and configured a Netgear DG834GT.
No problems setting it up and have good signal strength.
However, it periodically gets disconnected from Tiscali and I have to
log in and reboot the router.
It is not a problem with the wireless network, as that consistently
shows as good.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance as always.

timeout setting ?

what does it show in the log or error counts - loss of signal ? What
is the SNR / noise margin of the ADSL connection upstream and
downstream - from the router stats.

Some routers such as the Belkin have an idle disconnect set as default.
Look in the configuration menus to see if there's a disconnect timeout
or a dial on demand option.

Thanks Phil - will take a look in the error log.

Thanks Conor - not the timeout setting, as this is definitely 0. I was
going to change it to 999999999 minutes to see what happened, but the
max was 99.
