Default Going wireless..help....

Hi there

I would like some advice. I have 2mb broadband on NTL. I also have a PC
connected via ethernet to the cable modem, a laptop (with wireless card) and
an X-Box.

Now as you might have guessed I want to attach all machines to my 2mb
cable/broadband modem. But can anyone here tell me what gear I need
specifically?

Obviously I'll need a router, a wireless card for the PC and some sort of
wireless card for the Xbox, but other than that I'm not sure what to go
for....

Can someone tell me what cards and router I need and where is the best place
(cheaper the better) to buy from?

Also I think I'm correct in saying that there are different speeds...what is
recommended? As it's for gaming it will need to be fast...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!!

Cheers
Oo

You could get something like:

http://makeashorterlink.com/?N279329EA

Have your laptop connected wirelessly, but your other two devices connected to
the router by ethernet cable.

wireless router (if your pc's within cable length of it, connect via a
wire as it's cheaper and faster) for around £70, a wifi card for your
laptop (around £15) and a *wireless bridge* for the xbox (around £30 on
ebay) will do the job.
brand doesn't really matter, but dlink, 3com, linksys and belkin are
pretty easy to setup.

TURN ON ENCRYPTION ONCE YOU'VE GOT IT WORKING THOUGH!
