For ADSL most people buy a router combined with a modem, but you can get a cheaper one with an Ethernet WAN port. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

Thinking about it the device you describe as a Ethernet ADSL modem is likely to be a single port router so yes, you can put a switch after it to expand its ports. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

If the modem actually includes a router then you can just connect it straight to the switch. |
