Hi
My daughter attends University and lives with several others in rented accomodation who are supposedly connected to NTL Broadband. They each have their own PC's / Laptops with suitable network cards fitted. However, there is a single router connected the the set top box in the living room, but only one of the occupants receives a decent signal, the other have a poor signal. They have contacted both NTL / Netgear who are not too helpful to say the least. The router is from Netgear, but on looking at NTL's website display actiontec as suppliers of router. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks John JVB |

if you mean wireless signal.
can they not swap aerials or cards or WHY? that might narrow the problem down. try another channel, that may sort it. TBH, this is certainly not an NTL problem, nor is it a netgear one either really is it? mike "JVB" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:hbbLd.19658$(E-Mail Removed) k... > Hi > > My daughter attends University and lives with several others in rented > accomodation who are supposedly connected to NTL Broadband. > They each have their own PC's / Laptops with suitable network cards fitted. > However, there is a single router connected the the set top box in the > living room, but only one of the occupants receives a decent signal, the > other have a poor signal. > They have contacted both NTL / Netgear who are not too helpful to say the > least.
