Hi folks,
Would someone be so kind as to let me know what I need buy, to allow two pc's to share our ADSL connection ? Both pc's are using XP Home Edition. Any and all info will be much appreciated. Thanks j & c j & c |

This needs both pc's to be on and can be a pain to run reliably. A better way (a bit more expensive) get a router (either wireless or wired0 - this will allow both PC's to acces the net independantly of the other one, more reliable in my opnion. Many units are available these days with router, modem and wireless all built in to one unit (if required), all depends how much wiring you want to put in and what you want to spend. www.adslguide.org.uk has some article on this - also check the newsgroup uk.telecom.broadband this is a very common thread on there. |

You'll need a network card in each PC (£6-£10) and a patch lead in each to connect to the router (£2-£5 each).
