Default File sharing through router or network adaptors?

I've just set up a wireless home system with a Belkin wireless modem/router
as the Internet connection for two desktop PCs and two laptops, each with
network adapters.

I now want to set up file and printer sharing for all these computers. As a
complete newbie to networking I'm not sure if I have to set up each computer
to look for the other network adapters or do it via the modem/router (which
does not have a wired connection to any machine).

Can some kind soul give me a few pointers of which direction to go next? It
took an age to set up the Internet system and I don't want to do anything
that might disrupt that.

Thanks in advance.

Rick

You have to set it up on each computer.

You might want to start by reading this document: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...orkgroups.mspx
