Web server via Netgear DG838

Hi,

I've got apache running on a LAN and working ok within the LAN. I've set the
router to forward incoming HTTP requests to the servers IP, but any attempt
to access from outside the LAN ends up at the router login prompt. It's as
if the router's not taking any notice of the firewall rules.

Any ideas?

Thanks for replying,

The closest I can find is "Remote Management" & it's disabled... I've tried
enabling it & turning it off again, but still no joy.

BTW it's a Netgear 834 not 848 (can't type!)

In what sense are you connecting to the web server from outside your
LAN? Simply using the internet facing IP address or name is not enough.

I temporarily set this up on my DG834 recently, so I can only say that
it *does* work as advertised.
