Default home networking problem

After setting up my Ethernet home networking cards I can not get the remote
computer to access the internet. The 2 computers are linked ok and I can
browse files on either computer, but I can not access the internet on the
remote computer. I know it is something simple, its just knowing what.
my o/s is win xp on both computers

Do you have Internet Connection Sharing set up on the computer with
the internet connection? The ICS wizard will guide you through the
process for both computers.
