Default Webserver Device?

Does anyone know of a device similar to a router that acts as a webserver. A
device you can connect to a broadband router and ftp files to it. Basically
a webserver but without the computer?

Thanks,
Gareth

What would be the point of that? A router is a computer anyway, just a
very specialised one.

Me too - just because it's not a PC doesn't mean it's not a computer.

So get another PC and stick Linux (or a BSD) on it to run Apache.
Unless you want to go for something like a Cobalt Qube. There were some
of these on uk.adverts.computer a while ago for under 200 quid.

Nice piece of kit - I think the ones offered on uk.adverts.computer
(actually Gateway branded, but basically the same thing) ended up at £165
delivered, which seemed pretty cheap to me - I very much doubt you'll
find new cheaper than that, but there are some second-user items kicking
around. There's a couple of Qube 2s on ebay ATM.
Of course, it's still a computer :-) Not IBM-compatible, but just a
computer running Linux.

I doubt that there's any dedicated devices out there, I can't see the
market for them. You may be able to find a cheap second-hand laptop that
would do what you want. Perhaps one with a partially-working screen or
keyboard. Load Linux on it and set up an Apache web-server.
