Hi all,
I have a couple of servers on the home network running Windows. I have DHCPD and have included in the conf file to assign most ip addresses staticly using the mac address of the server nic. I am just wondering whether it is best to keep this as a failsafe, but manually specify the ip address in the tcp/ip properties of the server? What is the advantage of doing this? Tia Andrew.
