Ipaq-Nokia connection problem

Can anyone please help with this?
Got a new HP Ipaq - latest version whatever that is
Want to use with Nokia 6310i but having terrible trouble connecting with
bluetooth or GPRS.
First time used was able to connect with bluetooth fine but not now. It asks
to connect to pocket PC on Nokia and when you 'accept' that's it. Nothing.
It dials *99#
GPRS supposed to be enabled by Orange but no joy there either.
Son has also tried to set it up to use wifi, unsure if that is working
either.
If anyone has suggestions would they be kind enough to post them or let me
know where I could get this info? Getting a bit fed up after a week of
problems.
