I bought my MN700 about 2 years ago, and have always had the crashing problem
when the router is under heavy load (lots of data going to several hundred IPs) for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. Has anyone heard of a fix yet? Microsoft's been aware of this issue for years and I figured they might have attempted a fix by now... I just blew the dust off my MN700 since it's completely useless if they don't fix this crashing issue and wanted to see if anyone had heard anything new. (no, the latest firmware doesn't fix the problem unless a new one has come out in the last 2 weeks...) Thanks, -Brad Roether =?Utf-8?B?QnJhZA==?= |

Microsoft stopped manufacturing and withdrew from the market in April, 2004,
Brad. The only thing which has been updated is basically a small firmware update and the front end to comply with XP SP2: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...DLoadMain.mspx -- http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...ts/nichol.mspx In memory of a true friend, Windows MVP Alex Nichol Chris H. No they didn't, and they never will. Throw it away and get a Asus WL-500g.
Same chipset as the MS POS, but this one acutally works. Curious then.. I've had mine for only 8 months (7 months
if you negatve the month that I've spent haggling with MS support about the router problems.) and the problem only recently came up - I don't get it, how can a company create a faulty product, withdraw from it and simply ignore customers who are well within warranty period? I'm getting bullshit like "move it incase of interference" >-----Original Message----- >No they didn't, and they never will.
