My router works great, but I am unable to serve on a MIRC
channel. I have tried to enable port forwarding, etc, but it still blocks incoming requests. I've tried DMZ also, with no luck. Can anyone help me with the correct settings? Thanks. TheMailman |

Hi,
Are you using Windows XP Service Pack 2? If you are then check the firewall settings and see if it's on. If it is on then make an exception for your MIRC application. -- Gary Tsang Microsoft MVP - Windows XP Shell/User http://www.microsoft.com/mvp "TheMailman" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:1fd801c4fdac$89845590$(E-Mail Removed)... > My router works great, but I am unable to serve on a MIRC > channel. I am running XP with SP2. I have disabled the firewall
completely and still won't work. The port forwarding and DMZ etc is confusing. I just don't have the correct setting. >-----Original Message----- >Hi, > >Are you using Windows XP Service Pack 2? >If you are then check the firewall settings and see if it's on.
