I reported on December 6th that the connection between my
base (MN500 ) and laptop w/ MN-520 was inconsistant. I have since done th XP-SP2 install (stupid - I know expecing things to work they way they promise) and have been on the road and had to change the settings on the laptop to connetc to the WiFi in the hotel. (Laptop does not SEE hotel WiFi unles I type in the exact name of the network (SSID)) Anyway my laptop now does not SEE my home network whatsoever. It is sitting on the same desk. (My base station is in my basement- and my neighbor can SEE mt WiFi from his house - at least 75 yards away) I have (temporarily) disabled all security, on the basestation and the laptop, I have turned off the WEP etc - and at no time does the laptop SEE anything -- It has been over 6 months since this worked (on the road I can connect to the Hotel WIFis ) but at home NFG. I am tempted to trash it all and buy another brand ...any other suggestions? |

O.K> So now I am fed up.....I paid the $35 for support
call and spent 90 minutes with a person in India (I am not prejudiced, but if I am paying for help can the person at least speak english!) Removing reloading drivers changing this and that - OH we have a "Known compatability issue with your PCMIA bus" - My A$$.... THis worked - the driver updates and XP-SP2 just makes it worse and worse..... Final answe....call another number for a refund - well since I bought this over a year ago - and I do not keep every recept for every $49 item I buy - what do you think will happen? -Oh I just was called and asked if I was satisfied with the support!!! - >-----Original Message----- >I reported on December 6th that the connection between my >base (MN500 ) and laptop w/ MN-520 was inconsistant. >I have since done th XP-SP2 install (stupid - I know >expecing things to work they way they promise) and have >been on the road and had to change the settings on the >laptop to connetc to the WiFi in the hotel.
