I'm currently using a MN-700 and trying to get the Access Point mode to
work properly. The router is connected to a DSL modem using PPPoE (Verizon Online). I have one desktop which is wired through a simple cheap hub onto the router running on a Windows XP SP-1 O/S. I'm currently using this one. I also have the Microsoft Broadband Network Utility on this (wired) computer. There is another desktop computer which is on a wireless network card (Xterasys 802.11g). The wireless one uses Windows XP SP-2. Everything works fine when on router mode. The wired network, the wireless network, both computers can access the internet. However, once I change the router into access point mode, my wireless desktop can't access the internet. It can view and access files on my LAN and it can connect to the internet (PPPoE). however, I get a message in the tray saying the wireless connection has limited access and possibly can't access the internet, which is exactly what happens. This doesn't happen when my router is on router mode though, but when I change it to access point mode, the problem occurs. It was working fine up until this morning. I've shut down and reset my router and modem numerous times. I've reset my router's data and it's currently in router mode. Sorry if I made a few grammatical mistakes, it's late. Thanks in advanced to whoever tries to give input on my problem. Eric |

Just use the MN-700 in router mode, Eric. From your description, I don't
see why you would need to change to access mode. If you can, on the wired systems, go direct to the base station/router and pitch the hub. -- Chris H.
