I noticed that I could not print from my notebook to my
shared printer. I have 3 networked computers. The
Upstairs and main computer "talk", bu the laptop now does
not. I've had this system set up for a few years. I have
a mn520 on the notebook, which can reach the internet,
but can't talk to the rest of the computers. The others
are connected to the basestation via ethernet cable.

Something is blocking the notebook.

Any help would be appreciated

Put the laptop on the same workgroup as the other computers.

Then, look for software firewalls or ICF on the computers.
Disable them (or put the network on the shared area of the
firewall). Firewalls block the NetBIOS traffic.

Once you make the changes, you *may* need to do an ipconfig
/renew on the computers (or just reboot them) before the
workgroup starts talking.

They are all on the same work group.
I also noticed when I open up the broadband utility, I
can then acess the shared folders.

Then I can go back to my network places and get to the
shared folders, but only for a limited time.

Then it goes back to no being able to get into the shared
folders

It's kinda weird

Everything has been the same since I installed the
network. All are on the same workgroup. No Firewalls.
This just started happening a few weeks ago, when I went
to use my shared printer and it would not communicate.
Caould it be possible that the new windows update I just
received or could the router it self went bad?

I also noiticed that when I unshare a folder it still
shows up in the network places. I cannot acess that
either when it is shared.
