Default I cant setup my verizon connection

Everytime i install the product, my verizon conecction
doesnt recognize my user name. But when I uninstall the
connection, it comes back. I dont have an IP number. Is
that the problem, or is just the base?

Dear Carol,

Your question is somewhat confusing. What product are you
installing/uninstalling? And why does it worry about
your Verizon username? What OS are you using?

But, if you have a connection you DO have an IP. Go to
the Command prompt (MSDOS prompt) and type:

ipconfig /all

you see it there.

Do you have a dynamic IP or a PPPoE connection? For a
dynamic IP, you don't need an IP and don't enter the
username on the base station (the Verizon username is only
used for email) -- my Verizon access at home works this
way. Also leave the DNS blank (it's obtained from the
Verizon server).

If you have PPPoE, then it is different...
