Check for virus or spyware on your computer.
Check also port forwarding and security logs in the router. Virus and spyware can open ports automatically in the router (btw, as example, you can see outlook and messenger opening ports). >-----Original Message----- >how is it possible for inbound events from public ip addresses to bypass my mn-700 setup with nat and firewall to reach my private ip addresses computer? >usually the incomming connections are listed by mcafee as from port 80 to some random port. there's also some connections that try to get made from unknown ports, things higher then 30000. it doesn't make any sense to me these can possibly bypass the mn-700. > >MSN is even listed as a website trying to connect to me... yes i said website because it's resolved to c.msn.com not just some subscriber's ip address. > > if your going to reply please know i am positive i know how to run a network :P > > |
