I have seen may posts concerning this but no solutions.
I can VPN over the net just fine without my router but not with it. Has anyone found a solution? Thanks |

Yes. A Linksys BE-series router. >-----Original Message----- >I have seen may posts concerning this but no solutions. > >I can VPN over the net just fine without my router but not >with it. > >Has anyone found a solution? > >Thanks > >. > |

Need to setup a port forwarding on the router. Depends on
the VPN, but typically you need to forward port 500 and sometimes port 4500 (you may want to forward both UDP and TCP -- just add extra lines). For PPTP the port is TCP/1723. Port forwarding is under security in the router. It may be easier tp use persistent port forwarding and assign a static 192.168.2.x IP to computer. >-----Original Message----- >I have seen may posts concerning this but no solutions. > >I can VPN over the net just fine without my router but not >with it. > >Has anyone found a solution? > >Thanks > >. > |
