MN-520 Notebook adapter

I have a wireless connection for my laptop. Everything
was working great, then boom, it lost the network. I
can't connect to the basestation wirelessly anymore and
when I search for available networks, it doesn't show up
anymore. I went to my friends house and I couldn't find
his network either. I verfied the settings, looked for
updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, and still nothing.
Is it possible that my network card has just gone bad?
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
