Greetings I just purchased a laptop and can't seem to get
it online with my other two computers (desktops)...I strong believe it's because of the encryption key...I wrote it down several months ago but can't find it, my question is how do I establish or get the key from my desktops or do I have to reload the software for the router.......Help Mack |

Mack, My take is if you haven't changed your WEP/WPA key on your desktops for "months", its time to chnage them for security reasons alone. So, think of this as an opportunity. IF you're hardwired to the MN-700 through one PC, change it on the base station through that one first. If you are connected only wirelessly, change it on the base staion via the \\192.168.2.1\ call in IE6. Either "cut and paste" the new key you made-uo, or manually type your new key, into to your adapter settings and reconnect to the base station. Do the same in the adapters of all your PCs. >-----Original Message----- >Greetings I just purchased a laptop and can't seem to get >it online with my other two computers (desktops)...I >strong believe it's because of the encryption key...I >wrote it down several months ago but can't find it, my >question is how do I establish or get the key from my >desktops or do I have to reload the software for the >router.......Help >. > |
