wireless adapter

Need help on settings for Wireless G Notebook adapter
with no base station. We want to use it only for "hot
spots". All instructions are base station directed.

Quick response....go to Starbuck's, relax, have a latte',
and run setup software. I bet it will detect the Wifi
setup the adapter.
