Default Setup CD for MN-500

This is been posted so many times by MVP's.

Posting again for your reference

Goto
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...etworking/15_D
ownloads.aspx

Select MN500
Download the MSBNDownload.exe file

Extract its contents with Winrar
Right click MSBN and install it.

Thats about it.

Yes, and SO many times everyone (including MVPs) have wondered out loud why
the brain dead people (not) working on MS's broadband website would not
include a direct download rather than having people unpack the relevant
piece that is included in the obscure "rar" format package...

I'd love to know if Bill uses any of this wireless stuff in his palace (er,
I mean house)

I set everything up without the installation cd. The documentation
has a section on "manually installing" the device which works great if
you know a little bit about your isp and network.

MS desperately needs the $23 for replacement cd's? After all, they
need to protect their intellectual property.

Set the device up manually, and forget ms and their cd.

I couldn't get the CD to work anyway. Call the 7-24
line. They can set you up without the CD just fine.
They are great.
