I just baught an M-700 and I follow the instructions step
by step yet, the computer that I wire to the router [computer 1] is not able to use the internet correctly. During the setup it sets up the router and such but when it trys to validate my internet connection it fails. I have tried hooking my modem directly up to my computer and it works fine [That's how I'm posting this right now.]. I have tried reseting my modem and everything else. This computer is using Windows XP and my laptop is using the same. They are both 802.11g and nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated. My contact information is listed below. Thank you. First off, I would like to say your customer service
sucks. I payed for my router now you want me to pay for tech support? I must have forgot, this is Microsoft. Sorry. The M-700 router has the worst signal ever. I went out and exchanged it for a D-Link router and it works perfectly, it took me 10 min to setup unlike this M-700. Also, I thought setup would be a breeze, I mean.. Microsoft XP Pro, a Microsoft Router, and a laptop running Microsoft XP Home.. but of course, no. Also the D- Link router will work under Linux which I plan on switching to. Microsoft has made too many errors with it's operating systems and other such software. Must I mention its security? msblast [aka dcom]? bagle? mydoom? etc... Guess I'm throwing Microsoft out the window. Linux = way of the future. >-----Original Message----- >I just baught an M-700 and I follow the instructions step >by step yet, the computer that I wire to the router >[computer 1] is not able to use the internet correctly. >During the setup it sets up the router and such but when >it trys to validate my internet connection it fails.
