I'm using a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Broadband router with
WPA security, I just purchased the MN-740 wireless adapter for my son's Xbox, why isn't the MN-740 enabled for WPA and when will the firmware update be available? BR |

First, let me say that I'd like to see WPA on the MN-740 as well. But
I don't think it is going to happen. None of the game adapters from ANY vendor, (same with music adapters or non computer wireless adapters) are WPA enabled. I think that certification for non computer devices does not require WPA so they did not go the extra mile and related expense to include WPA. to the best of my knowledge the Linksys G game adapter does not
support WPA On Fri, 5 Mar 2004 11:44:59 -0800, <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: >Linksys has it. > > >>-----Original Message----- >>First, let me say that I'd like to see WPA on the MN-740 >as well. That's incorrect information. I suggest you look at the product data sheet
here: http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=36&prid=558 It says, "Utilizes up to 128 Bit Wired Equivalency Protection (WEP) to ensure security." -- Chris H.
