Maybe this is a subject that has already been discussed.
We have two client sites, one with a Win98SE based LAN, the other a Win2K based LAN. Both sites use a DOS based app. that requires a drive mapping to the folder in the dedicated server. "reconnect at logon" is checked in all systems. After a day of normal work, the very next day or 48 hours later, when users try to launch the app., they get the "Cannot find the working folder for this program..." message. They have to restart their systems to refresh the connection. Does the protocol stack that Microsoft uses have an issue with mapped drives to cause the connection to time out? Is there a solution? Thank You Very Much Walt Silva Walt Silva |
