Problem accessing shared files

I have a windows xp machine connected to a windows me
machine using wireless. On the windows me machine I can
access the windows xp machine, but when I try to access
the windows me files from the windows xp machine, it won't
let me. Everything shows that it is connected, but I
can't access the files. I didn't know if there are more
than one way to access the files, or if its just windows
xp thats causing the problem. Please help!

I've shared all files, in same workgroup. I know I've
got everything set up right, but I was told I could use
to wireless adapters to go back and forth between two
computers without having a router or anything. I'm
thinking I must need one. If you know please let me
know. Thank you.

You're talking about an Ad Hoc network, then, and that's a different animal.
Take a look in Help and Support on the Windows XP machine, and look in the
documentation for the networking devices.

hi,

Disable the XP firewall or any external firewall if
enabled for the wireless connection icon on XP.

check if that works!!!
