Default mn-500 ...how to disable firewall

I am trying to setup the mn-500, but its telling me to
disable any third party firewall or internet security
firewall. I have zonealarm, and disabled it. But that
didnt work. so i uninstalled zone alarm, still didnt
work. I disabled norton antivirus, and that didnt work.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Try temporarily uninstalling Norton. The Symantec products don't normally
play nice when you "exit" them, they just keep running underneath.

You know, Chris; I keep reading this, but when I installed my MN-500 (quite
osme time ago), I didn't even disable Norton AV.

I know, but without knowing exactly what is running on the system in
question, that is one of the troubleshooting scenarios. There could be
umpteen reasons for the problem, but so far that's all that has been
mentioned. Could also be the user has an active dial-up modem, or is
running 18 other programs or has an issue with a graphics card driver while
trying to install. 8-)
