Can not connect to internet through a hub

I need help! I can connect to internet by directly
connecting my computer to the DSL modem thernet port, but
as soon as I plug in through the hub, I can not establish
the connection. Any ideas? Thanks!

Most common error on this is the setup is incorrectly contains an incorrect
