Default print servers

I have a MN 700 base station with mn-500 access point.

I would like to attach a "print server" to the network.
Does microsoft have a compatible "print server" or does
e.g. Linksys or HP print servers need to be used. I
have a new HP 2500 laser printer that I would like to add
to the network and have it work without being attached to
any computer but to the print server then to the
microsoft router or access point.

thanks

Default Re: print servers

If you are interested, HP has an "EIO" card that can be inserted into the
printer to provide (wired) network (Ethernet) connections - part no. J3110A
.. See
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...118-13119.html.

Linksys, Dlink and HP (probably others as well) have "print server
devices" - typically these have parrallel connections for printers. You
should be able to connect your printer to your network using any of these
types of devices.

See
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Prin...r%20device.htm
for how to "add a printer" connected via one of these "print server
devices".

It's perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
