Default MN-500 - periodic lockup

I've found some mention on this messageboard about lockup
problems with the MN-500 and 700. With mine it happens
every 12-24 hours, forcing me to pull the plug to
restart. While locked up, the base station
administration tool is not accessable, though I can get
to my other computers connected by ethernet to the
router. This problem seems to have begun after I updated
to the latest firmware V1.11.017.

Has anyone encountered this issue after updating
firmware? Has anyone found a previous version that is
not prone to lockups?

A friend of mine worked on the design team for the router
and said they had problems with lockups with early
versions of the MN-500 router, but that it was solved
long ago.

It was resolved in the firmware version 1.08.003 which I am still
running. I've not yet installed the 1.11.017 firmware yet. Sometimes
the 1.07.001 works better then the 1.08.003 firmware does.

Thanks for the information, I'll see about going back to
1.08.003, until the next firmware revision.
